Platform coverage by country
The rule
A scan always goes through the platforms in the same order: Yandex Maps, then Google Maps, then 2GIS. A platform that does not cover the country of the scan centre is skipped. It does not produce an error and does not appear as an empty result.

For some countries we have not checked whether 2GIS works. These are not in the list. If the country of the scan centre cannot be determined, all three platforms are tried.
The list was verified on 9 October 2026. The services change their coverage, so treat it as a guide, not a promise.
What this means for you
- In a country listed for 2GIS you get up to three sources for each business, merged into one record.
- Elsewhere you get Yandex Maps and Google Maps. Data on a business exists only where the platform has it, so the number of sources differs between areas.
- The language of the interface and the country of a scan are independent. You can use the English interface and scan an area where Russian is the language of the maps.
Query language
Write the search query in the language of the map of the area. For a scan of a Russian-language area it is a Russian word, for instance "стоматология". Names, addresses and reviews are shown as the maps publish them.
Questions and answers
What if my country is not in the list for 2GIS?
Then 2GIS is skipped, without an error, and the scan uses Yandex Maps and Google Maps.
