Audit your listing against neighbours
Customers choose between listings, not between businesses. A listing with photos, a price list, a website and recent reviews looks like a business that is open and cared for. Pinsonar measures this, and measures it against your real neighbours, not against an abstract ideal.
Add your own listing to the picture
Scan the area around your business so that your listing and its neighbours are in one report. Open your business in the table and go to the vs Competitors tab.
Read the two numbers
Presence index, 0 to 100. It adds points for what the listing has: photos 20, reviews 20, services or features 15, social links 15, promotions 10, website 10, phone 10. A low index tells you exactly which parts are missing.
Competitiveness index, 0 to 100. It compares you with the neighbours of the same category within 1 km: reputation up to 40, presence up to 20, marketing up to 20, market freedom up to 20. It shows where you are strong and where weak, and suggests an action plan.
Build the competitor brief
Open the competitor brief, pick a radius from 0.5 to 5 km and read five conclusions: how many direct competitors there are, your rating and review count against the area, the local leader, and how many neighbours pay for promotion. Download the audit as an Excel file to share with the person who maintains your listing.
Fix in this order
- Anything that costs 15 or 20 points and is missing: photos, a price list, replies and reviews.
- Contact data: the phone and the website, identical on all three maps.
- Promotions, if your neighbours show them and you do not.
Repeat
After you change your listing, rescan the area in a few weeks and compare the numbers. The History tab of your card shows how your rating and reviews moved.
The audit uses public data that carries its collection date; it does not read anything from your own business accounts on the maps.
Questions and answers
Does a high presence index guarantee more customers?
No. The index shows how fully a listing is filled in compared with others. It is a checklist of what is missing, not a promise of results.
Where do I see the audit as a file?
In the Analytics and Map tab, or from the competitor brief, download the audit as an Excel file with two sheets.
Try it on your own area.
